Our Interview with Kim
What was life like before becoming a client?: Before becoming a member at Zoned Fitness, I was struggling to keep up an exercise routine. Being a stay home mom of 4 who also home schools left me with very little time to exercise the way I was used to before kids.
At the time you enrolled, were you already exercising? What was your previous background in fitness?: Growing up I was fairly athletic, I played basketball and softball throughout high school. In college and thereafter I kept exercise as a top priority by working out in gyms, running at tracks, and taking yoga classes. But then after I had children, I just wasn’t finding the time for a fitness routine except for running.
What originally prompted you to seek out HVF/ZONED?: When I heard that Zoned fitness provided clients with daily workout routines, I was very eager to give it a try.
What was your goal when you originally signed up?: I wanted to get back into strength training.
Why was this goal important?: I know how important strength training is to stay physically fit. It’s very important to me to stay healthy for my family and myself.
How long had you had this goal?: After having children, these goal became even more important to me.
What were the top 1-2 things that held you back from achieving your goal?: Schedules and time.
What had you tried to get to your goal before?: I had tried working out at home, and other fitness centers, but failed at any consistent routines other than running.
How were you feeling about your goal at that time you enrolled?: I knew that I could achieve my goals at Zoned Fitness, I felt as if I had found the right place.
What have you liked best about working with HVF/ZONED?: Every morning at Zoned is a different exercise routine that Keith puts together for us. I enjoy coming in to class and seeing what’s on the board for the day. It’s as if we have our own personal trainer. Also, the people at Zoned are the best, we are like a family.
What challenges have you overcome and struggled with that kept you from progressing faster with your goals?: I’ve overcome the challenge of staying motivated
How did you overcome them?: The convenience of Zoned Fitness and the fun and friendly/family type atmosphere keeps me motivated.
What are you most proud of achieving since you started training?: I’m most proud of the commitment I’ve made to my health.
Now that you achieved, or are well on your way to achieving, your goal has your view of yourself changed?: I feel proud of the work that I’m putting in at Zoned Fitness. I enjoy coming home and showing my kids and my husband some of the exercises that I’m learning.
How do you feel about your future?: I feel more content about my fitness journey.
Where would you be if you hadn’t started your program at HVF/ZONED?: I would probably still just be running.
What would you say to anyone else who might be dealing with similar problems you faced before working with HVF/ZONED?: I would tell anyone to come and try out Zoned. I’m positive they would enjoy Keith’s training routines and the people that work out there.
